For over 15 years, Mercy Chapel has been a spiritual home for Nigerians and friends across Maryland.
From a living room to a movement
God’s Grace Gospel Ministries International began in 2009 as a small prayer gathering of Nigerian families who longed for a place that felt like home in a new land. What started in a living room has grown into Mercy Chapel — a vibrant, multigenerational community touching hundreds of lives across the DMV.
Through every season — new arrivals finding their feet, students chasing dreams, families raising children far from extended family — Mercy Chapel has remained a constant: a place of prayer, belonging and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.

The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and our final authority for faith and living.
One True God
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Salvation in Christ
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present-day work, gifts and power of the Holy Spirit in every believer.

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship, fellowship and mission.

Pastor Emmanuel Adeyemi founded Mercy Chapel in 2009. With over two decades in ministry, his passion is sound teaching, fervent prayer, and raising leaders. He leads alongside his wife, Pastor Grace Adeyemi.
